Description of ProgramThe National Kidney Foundation's direct patient programs include:
- KEEP Healthy kidney disease screenings
- Your Kidneys and You educational presentations
- NKF Cares and NKF Peers patient support hotlines
- The Big Ask/The Big Give organ donation education initiative

NKF also improves patient health and well-being through the development of widely-adopted clinical practice guidelines, professional education opportunities for those who care for kidney patients, research grants that support new treatment approaches, and advocacy efforts at the state and national level that focus on protecting patients and increasing investment in kidney disease prevention and research.
