We help people with disabilities obtain choices and control in daily life. We provide advocacy, education, skills training, support groups, and information and referral as well as many empowering programs and social activities.
We are one of nine certified Independent Living Centers in the state of Colorado.
We offer a variety of programs and services to fit our diverse consumers’ needs. Eligibility criteria is simple: A person must have a disability that significantly impacts his or her ability to live independently in the community. Age or type of disability is never cause for ineligibility.
Connections for Independent Living helps people with disabilities obtain choices and control in daily life. We are an empowerment and learning community. Many of our staff members have disabilities, and we support people in developing their own goals and plans for attaining them.

We collaborate closely with several organizations including the High Plains Library District, the Curtis Strong Center, the Area Agency on Aging, Greenpath Debt Solutions, and many others. On any given day, we host meetings, seminars, and a variety of educational events. A hub for community connection and service provision, we strive to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities and to assist them in meeting their goals.
