At Eben Ezer we take a comprehensive approach to care, everything from independent living, assisted living and short-term stays to skilled nursing care and hospice. We offer a full compliment of services that address housing, health, rehabilitation, social, recreational and spiritual needs. This continuum of care, offered in the community and within one campus, means that Eben Ezer can provide just the right amount of support for each of our residents. Flexible care that maximizes independence. Our residents can be secure in the knowledge that as their needs change, they can remain with caregivers they know and trust.
In an industry dominated by large corporations, Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center stands alone as an independent not-for-profit corporation. We are affiliated with the Rocky Mountain Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. As a non-profit community, Eben Ezer provides programs and services regardless of pay source and does not limit the number of persons receiving Medicaid benefits. Yet, a significant deficit exists between the cost of services and Medicaid reimbursement rates.
Our mission as a Christian ministry is to be a caring community of housing, health care, spiritual, and supportive services to older persons and others with special needs.
We are affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, and recognized by the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod.
Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center has had a remarkable history since we first opened our doors as a tuberculosis sanatorium over a century ago. The legacy of Pastor Jens Madsen, Sister Anna Poulsen and others has given rise to the outstanding faith-based social ministry that we have become. We offer a multilevel care system that includes independent living, assisted living, an Alzheimer's Neighborhood, hospice, rehabilitation, and in-home services.
At Eben Ezer, we rely on our Christian service heritage and our innovation to address the growing needs of the aged and disabled in Northeast Colorado. We are committed to person-directed care because we regard our residents as individuals with distinct needs, interests and preferences. We strive to create an environment that focuses not only on the physical, but also the spiritual and emotional needs of those under our care. This vision has led to movement away from the traditional institutional nursing home to a more homelike atmosphere that we call A Place Called Home. This approach to long-term care encourages companionship, meaningful activity, variety and spontaneity among our residents – critical components of life that lead to a heightened sense of dignity, self-determination and joy. We invite you to explore the important ministry of Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center.
