Provides an employment support program that helps people overcome barriers and work their way to self-sufficiency and stability through employment. Offers a holistic approach to healing brokenness and eliminating poverty through relationships, employment support services, and skills development. Thrive members build confidence and develop the tools they need to establish a work history, stay in a job, improve their income, and advance to economic self-sufficiency.
The main entry point for Thrive is a multi-day employment workshop. During the workshop, job readiness skills including: career exploration, practice interviewing, and networking with local employers are addressed. Spiritual components are incorporated to identify barriers that may have contributed to one’s unemployment.
Participants who complete this workshop also receive:
- Employment referrals
- Networking with local employer partners
- Assistance in navigating community resources
- Ongoing employment coaching and mentoring for up to 1 year
- Individualized assistance developing a plan for economic stability
