To provide safe, affordable, accessible housing and housing services for Colorado's low-income, elderly and disabled residents.
BRI was founded in 1971, when four Denver residents recognized the urgent need for free or low-cost housing and housing-related services for Southwest Denver's low-income residents; the mission was expanded statewide to accommodate a few outlying Paint-A-Thon sites and rural Housing Counseling clients; however, nearly all of BRI's activities take place in the Denver metro area and following counties: Adams, Arapahoe, Broomfield, Boulder, Denver, Douglas and Jefferson.
