Oxford Houses are democratically run, self-supporting, and alcohol and drug-free homes. Oxford Houses of Colorado are comprised of over 30 houses that are designated for men's or women's recovery. The average stay is two years, but there is no time limit for how long guests can stay.
Oxford House exists to educate individuals and private and public entities in the benefits of the Oxford House concept of group homes for recovering substance abusers. It allocates all resources including grant funds, property donations, and available personnel to replicate democratically self-run and self-supported Oxford Houses to assist in the recovery of substance abusers.
